Peripheral speed (surface speed) NEVER EXCEED THE MAX. PERIPHERAL SPEED (vc or rpm) AS STATED BY THE GRINDING WHEEL MANUFACTURER!
When using CBN, select the peripheral speed as high as possible. In the case of diamond grinding wheels, lower surface speeds apply.
Guidelines for resin bonded grinding wheels: CBN: 35 to 80 m/s (7,000 to 16,000 sfpm)
Diamond: 18 to 30 m/s (3,600 to 6,000 sfpm)
