| The following quills are kept in stock and can be mated with stock CBN or diamond grinding wheels. If at all possible, tungsten carbide quills should get preference over standard steel quills due its superior stiffness.

Cementing of quills Prior to using adhesive, the quills must be thoroughly cleaned and degreased. Use adhesives that are designed for cementing steel and resins. The following types have proven to be adequate for the task:
· Araldite, 2 component adhesive (Type 2014, 2015 and 2018) · Redux, 2 component adhesive (Type 805 and 641) · Henkel Stabilit, 2 component adhesive
Alternatively and due to its very short drying cycle and heat stability, copper oxide known under its trade name Pastason, by E. Merck of Darmstadt, Germany, can also be recommended for the cementing of grinding wheels onto quills.
When working with adhesives, the manufacturer’s instructions must be followed carefully!
